Intense flash floods hit Western Attica, Greece, November 15, 2017

Major flash floods hit Western Attica, Greece yesterday morning after a night of intense rainfall. Floding hit the towns of Elefsina, Mandra and Nea Peramos. The flood caused 15 fatalities, today (Nov 16) is a day of national mourning in Greece. More intense rainfall and floods are expected across large parts of Greece in the next few days.
