Saharan dust pushed into Greece and eastern Europe in the next few days

Persistent southerly flow ahead of the cutoff low in the central Mediterranean is pushing a moderate, but constant amount of Saharan dust across the Mediterranean into Greece and parts of eastern Europe.

The dust load in the skies over Greece will be moderate compared to the big dust events in previous weeks. Expect the dust to push into eastern Europe by Tuesday afternoon. The flow of dust from north Africa over Greece will persist until at least Wednesday.
