Tropical storm Imelda made landfall on the coast of southeast Texas today. While winds will be comparatively moderate, it will bring excessive torrential rainfall to parts of Texas. Flooding is expected!

High-res NAM model indicates large amounts of rainfall in the area in and around Houston. Over 8″ (200 mm) expected across the region, with locally up to 20″+ (500+ mm). Expect significant, locally intense flooding in these areas!
