SYNOPSIS

A deep upper trough / low is centered over W Scandinavia and N Atlantic while ridge is located over SE and WSW Europe. In between, a trough is centered over central Europe and the Mediterranean.

DISCUSSION



ENH / SLGT risks have been issued for NE Romania, Moldova, parts of Ukraine, SE Belarus into W Russia with threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, large to very large hail and torrential / excessive rainfall. Widespread organized storms including supercells are expected with strong instability and moderate shear overlapping together.



SLGT risk has been issued for south-central Italy, S Adriatic sea into WSW Balkan peninsula with threat for severe storms, capable of producing marginal hail, severe winds and torrential rainfall.

MRGL risk has been issued for areas surrounding the ENH / SLGT risks across parts of Italy, Balkan peninsula and across E Europe into W Russia with a more isolated threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, large hail and torrential rainfall.

MRGL risk has been issued for central Turkey with isolated threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, large hail and torrential rainfall.

TSTM risk areas have been placed where convective storms are likely to occur but should remain sub-severe.
