SYNOPSIS

Strong ridge dominates N Europe and the Arctic region, while deep lows are located over N Atlantic, Russia and N Mediterranean.

SLGT risk has been issued for central Italy and Adriatic sea into W Balkan with threat for isolated threat of severe storms, capable of producing marginal hail, excessive / torrential rainfall and severe winds. Some tornado threat exists with risk for waterspouts due to enhanced CAPE under the cold upper low over the Adriatic sea.

SLGT risk has been issued for NNW Turkey into E Bulgaria and SE Romania with threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, marginally large hail and heavy rainfall.

SLGT risk has been issued for N Atlantic into SW Iceland with threat for non-convective severe winds in excess of 90 km/h.



MRGL risk has been issued for E Portugal into W spain with isolated threat for severe storms, capable of producing strong to severe winds and marginal hail.

MRGL risk has been issued for N Morocco and N Algeria with threat for isolated severe storms, capable of producing severe winds and large hail.

TSTM risk areas have been placed where convective storms are likely to occur but should remain sub-severe.
