SYNOPSIS
A large upper low move from N Africa into the south-central Mediterranean while a deep low is moving south just W of Scandinavia. Strong ridge persists across WSW Europe. A small upper low is located over the S Scandinavia and Baltic region. A short-wave ejects E Black Sea region into SW Russia.
DISCUSSION
SLGT risk has been issued for N Tunisia into S Italy and Malta with threat for severe winds, torrential rainfall, marginally large hail and tornadoes. A good overlap of quite a strong shear, moderate instability and enhanced SR helicity should support supercells with tornado potential as well.
SLGT risk has been issued for NE Turkey, Georgia into SW Russia with threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, large hail and torrential rainfall.
MRGL risk has been issued for NW Russia with threat for isolated severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, marginal hail and torrential rainfall.
MRGL risk has been issued for SE Poland, E Slovakia into W Ukraine with threat for isolated severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, marginal hail and torrential rainfall.
TSTM risk areas have been placed where convective storms are likely to occur but should remain sub-severe.
