A large upper trough, centered over North Sea and W Scandinavia dominates Europe while a short wave trough is pushed across the Balkan peninsula towards the ESE. An associated frontal system affects E Adriatic sea and W Balkan countries with some severe weather possible.
A SLGT risk has been issued for W Slovenia, coastal Croatia, S Montenegro and Albania with threat for excessive rainfall, severe winds and marginally large hail. The cold front will be moving from NW towards SE from the morning hours onwards. Near 100 mm of accumulated rainfall is possible especially over NW Croatia and W Slovenia, high amounts of snow above 2000 m ASL.
A TSTM area has been issued surrounding the SLGT risk area where isolated storms are possible, but severe threat is limited.
TSTM areas have been issued for North Sea into Denmark and W Ireland where scattered storms are possible, some threat for stronger winds and some graupel showers.
A TSTM area has been isssued for extreme SE Mediterranean into Middle East where isolated thunderstorms are possible.
