Even higher temperatures are expected today, with the entire region in mid to upper 30s and locally into low 40s! Up to 40-42 °C (potentially 43 °C) in central and northeast France, up to 39-41 °C in southwest France. Belgium likely to break yesterday’s all-time record with 40-41 °C. The Netherlands also up to 39-41 °C, up to 1-2 °C higher than yesterday and a new all-time record. Up to 40-42 °C in extreme west-northwest Germany – again likely to topple the new record from yesterday (40.5 °C).
