Hot weather will continue until Friday, when a cutoff low pushes in from the Atlantic and the weather cools quite abruptly. Daytime highs across much of Portugal and NW and SW Spain will remain between 30 and 35 °C in the next four days. Indeed very hot weather for the middle of May!
