Persistent southwesterly flow in the wake of windstorm ‘Callum’ and a virtually stationary cold front bring torrential rainfall to Wales, North and parts of Scotland over the next 24-36 hours. Major flooding likely!

High-resolution models are indicating locally over 100-150 mm of rainfall by late on Saturday, with some models indicating up to 350 mm! Peak amounts are expected in Wales and to a slightly lesser extent in North and Western Scotland. Flooding is expected!
