A deep low will push across the Bay of Biscay into western France in the next 36 hours. Windy weather is expected across the region, including western France and northern Spain.
By late morning on Wednesday (May 7th), the low is positioned W of the Bay of Biscay and WNW of the Iberian peninsula, with a central mean sea level pressure of 978 mbar. It is expected to track eastwards, gradually filling, reaching 990 mbar by midday on Wednesday.
It will affect northern Spain and western France with strong gale to storm force winds, gusting up to 100-120 km/h. Northern Spain will be affected on Wednesday afternoon, while western France will receive peak winds in the evening hours.
