Latest GFS model guidance suggests a large, deep trough pushing into Europe early next week – a pattern change that signals more unstable weather for the region.

This is a favourable pattern for additional snowfall across the western and southern Alps. Indeed, current GFS model guidance indicates locally more than 100-150 cm of new snow.
