SYNOPSIS

A large upper low is located over south-central Europe and Balkan peninsula. Ridging remains over SE and N Europe. Deep trough / low forms over the N Atlantic.

DISCUSSION



ENh risk has been issued for E Poland, SW Belarus across central Ukraine into E Moldova with threat for severe storms, capable of producing torrential / excessive rainfall and large hail. Marginal shear but moderately strong instability will support widespread organized storms with local flash floods threat.

SLGT risk has been issued for areas surrounding the ENH risk and across E Romania into Bulgaria with isolated threat for severe storms, capable of producing marginal hail, severe winds and torrential rainfall.

SLGT risk has been issued for S Germany into W Austria with threat for excessive rainfall. Excessive snowfall is also possible over the higher Alps.

SLGT risk has been issued for NNW Turkey with threat for severe storms, capable of producing marginal hail, severe winds and torrential rainfall.

TSTM risk areas have been placed where convective storms are likely to occur but should remain sub-severe.
