SYNOPSIS

An upper low is centred over Ionian sea and SW Balkan peninsula, surrounded by an upper ridge across SW, central and ESE Europe. Deep troughs are located over N and W E urope.

DISCUSSION



SLGT risk has been issued for parts of Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine with threat for severe storms, capable of producing torrential / excessive rainfall, large hail and severe winds. Widespread activity is again expected under strong instability but only weakly to moderate shear, resulting in slow moving storms with flash floods and large hail threat.

SLGT risk has been issued for N Turkey with isolated threat for severe storms, capable of producing torrential rainfall, severe winds and large hail.



TSTM risk areas have been placed where convective storms are likely to occur but should remain sub-severe.
