Major rainfall (and snowfall) in the Alps of northeastern Italy and northwestern Slovenia
The persistent southerly to southwesterly flow and several consecutive surface lows over northern Italy and the northern Adriatic will produce large amount of rainfall and snowfall in the Alps of NE Italy and NW Slovenia. Various models are in good agreements for locally over 200 mm of rainfall by the end of the week.
