Here are some pretty remarkable satellite images in IR and VIS channels – cloud tops are extremely high and penetrating into the heights with temperatures around -90 °C.
The future behavior of #93P depends on the amount of shear and sea surface along its track – those are very good and should allow the system to gradually organize better into a tropical cyclone, potentially even an intense system after the coming weekend. 93P will be passing very near Fiji archipelago on Friday. Attached are the GFS model simulations through the remainder of this week. We can definitely see the system will gain strength while moving into even better conditions south of the Fiji archipelago.
