Tornado in Arnhem, Netherlands (photo & video) – Nov 3, 2013
The second tornado in yesterday’s series of tornadoes in the Netherlands formed in Arnhem at 14:50 UTC (Nov 3). The tornadoes of November 3 formed in a low cape, high shear environment with low-topped supercells. Local sounding reported by Weer.nl shows only 120 J/kg CAPE, equilibrium level at about 5600 m, but a significantly sheared environment with strong veering profile (249 m2/s2 SRH1).
Netherlands was part of the SLGT+ risk area of DAY 1 Outlook for 3/11/2013.
