An impressive tornado occurred in the Gulf of Trieste in the north Adriatic sea on the morning of September 17th, 2013 between 7:10 and 7:20 CEST. OSMER FVG Fossalon Doppler radar shows a clear presence of a mesocyclone, confirming this was a tornadic waterspout. This is supported by the textbook RFD cut structure seen in the video. A second, satellite non-mesocyclonic waterspout was also produced by the same storm ahead on the flanking line The tornado lasted about 5 minutes as reported by ESWD, it made landfall and produced a 1.5-km long damage track. No injuries have been reported and no official EF-rating has been assigned.
