A large trough extends from northern Europe towards Mediterranean with a well defined SFC low crossing central Italy and N-CNTRL Adriatic sea. A new intense short wave / embedded upper low with surface cyclone crossing North Sea and UK.
A MDT risk has been issued for parts of NE Adriatic sea and coastal areas of NW Croatia with threat for excessive rain and severe winds as the well-defined surface cyclone crossing the region from the SW. Locally, severe winds in excess of 100 km/h and torrential rain seem possible.
A MDT risk has been issued for parts of Montenegro, Albania and NW Greece with threat for excessive rain, high rain amounts likely.
A SLGT+ risk has been issued for parts of S Italy where enhanced threat for excessive rain exist.
A SLGT risk has been issued for surrounding areas of MDT/SLGT+ risks as well as for Mediterranean sea N of Algeria/Tunisia and Aegean sea with threat for heavy rain, strong to severe winds and some tornado / waterspout and marginal hail threat.
A MDT risk has been issued for NE UK and parts of North Sea with threat for severe wind gusts on the back side of the intense cyclone. Wind gusts in excess of 120 km/h locally possible.
A SLGT risk has been issued for surrounding areas of MDT risk across North Sea and E UK with threat for severe winds and some heavy rain.
