A HIGH risk has been issued for coastal areas of E-NE Adriatic sea with threat for extremely severe non-convective wind gusts, locally in excess of 180 km/h or even above 200 km/h from Monday morning until the late evening hours. With the location of SFC low over central Adriatic sea, conditions are favourable for an extreme downslope Bora wind event which could result in life threatening situation and severe wind damage.
A MDT risk has been issued for areas along the Adriatic and Ionian sea with threat for torrential excessive rain, severe winds, tornadoes and some hail threat. Additionally, parts of central Italy can expect an excessive rain threat with strong upslope flow from the Adriatic sea onto the eastern Apennini mountains. Very high rain accumulations are likely. Similar orographic excessive rain threat appears likely also on the eastern slopes of Dynaric mountain range in CNTRL Croatia.
A MDT risk has been issued for extreme S France, W Mediterranean and Sardinia, Corsica across central Italy and towards Adriatic sea and with threat for severe non-convective wind gusts in excess of 120 km/h locally.
A MDT risk has been issued for S Italy into S Mediterranean with threat for tornadoes, torrential excessive rain, large hail and severe winds.
A SLGT risk has been issued for surrounding areas of MDT risks with some threat for severe winds, tornadoes, hail and heavy rain.
A MDT risks have been issued for parts of NE Atlantic around Iceland and W Norway with threat for severe wind gusts and heavy rain around the strong surface cyclone rotating around Iceland. Wind gusts above 120 km/h are likely.
