A strong upper trough moves towards central Mediterranean with a strong lee cyclone forming over N Italy. Surface cold front is pushed across the N Mediterranean.
A MDT risk has been issued for parts of N-CNTRL Adriatic into W Croatia and SW Slovenia with threat for torrential and excessive rain, severe winds and tornadoes. Very high rain amounts likely locally due to training effect storm clusters.
A MDT risk has been issued for W-CNTRL Italy with threat for tornadoes, torrential rain, severe winds and some hail threat. High rain amounts possible locally. MDT risk has been also extended further west into S France and parts of W Mediterranean with threat for severe non-convective wind gusts developing into the Mediterranean on late Sunday in the wake of the strong cyclone over Italy.
A SLGT risk has been issued for surrounding areas of MDT risks with threat for heavy rain, strong to severe winds and some tornado threat.
A SLGT risk has been issued for Iceland and surrounding areas with threat for severe non-convective wind gusts, exceeding 100 km/h.
A WNTR risk has been issued for higher elevations of W-CNTL Alps with threat for excessive snowfall due to strong advection of cold and humid airmass from western Wurope onto the NNW Alpine slopes.
