SYNOPSIS

An upper ridge develops over N Atlantic and W Europe, a large shallow upper low remains over the Mediterranean and the Balkan peninsula. One short-wave push across Turkey towards the east. A deep upper low is moving across S Scandinavia.

DISCUSSION



ENH risk has been issued for N Turkey with threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, torrential rainfall, large to very large hail and tornadoes. widespread convective activity is expected with the trough moving through, stong shear and moderate instability should support well-organized severe storms.

SLGT risk has been issued for areas surrounding the ENH risk across Turkey into Georgia with more isolated threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, torrential rainfall and large hail.



SLGT risk has been issued for NE Algeria and N Tunisia with threat for severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, torrential rainfall and large hail.

MRGL risk has been issued for SE Spain threat for isolated severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, torrential rainfall and marginally large hail.



MRGL risk has been issued for E Belarus, E Ukraine into SW Russia with threat for isolated severe storms, capable of producing severe winds, torrential rainfall and marginally large hail. Slow moving storms under strong MLCAPE but weak shear should support flash floods and hailstorms with accumulation.

TSTM risk areas have been placed where convective storms are likely to occur but should remain sub-severe.
