A powerful trough with intense surface low slowly moving ENE along N Scandinavia. Another intense surface low forms S of Iceland, crosses Norwegian sea and hits the coast of W Norway. A deep upper low rotates over SW Europe. In between, a broad ridge covers the rest of Europe.

A MDT risk has been issued for N Norway with threat for extremely severe wind gusts, likely in excess of 120 km/h.

A MDT risk has been issued for coastal W Norway with threat for extremely severe winds and excessive rain with a new surface cyclone hitting the coastal areas towards the late afternoon. Wind gusts above 120 km/h are likely in this areas again. Additionally, high rain amounts are possible given the persisting upslope flow from the sea.

A SLGT risk has been issued for surrounding areas of MDT risk with threat for severe winds.

A MDT risk has been issued for NE Iberia into parts of S France and NW Mediterranean with threat for torrential excessive rain, severe winds and some tornado / waterspout threat.

A SLGT risk has been for E Iberia into W Mediterranean with threat for excessive rain, severe winds and waterspouts.
